This week on Top Ten Tuesday on That Artsy Reader Girl's blog, the topic is: Books with Colors in the Title! I went through all the reviews on my blog and I have LITERALLY ONE book with a color: Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel. That was a GREAT BOOK! Check out the review, here.
But since there's not any more than that, I'm going to make a list of books with colors in the title that are on my TBR!!
Let me know if you've read any of these - and how much you loved them!!
1. The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
2. The Scarlet Pimpernel by Emmuska Orczy
3. The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins
4. The Color Purple by Alice Walker
5. Blue Heaven by C.J. Box
6. The Red House Mystery by A. A. Milne
7. The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson
8. Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg
9. The Black Dahlia by James Ellroy
10. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
What books do YOU recommend with colors in the title??
The Color Purple was on my list, too.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT .
I really need to read it!
DeleteI had the same problem! My mind totally blanked on books I've read with colors in the title, so I had to comb my TBR lists on Goodreads. It took some work, but I finally came up with ten!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!

It was kind of fun to search my TBR for books - it reminded me of some that I had forgotten!
DeleteI listened to The Woman in White as an audiobook many years ago. I don't remember much from it except that it was a fantastic eerie read! The Color Purple is on my must-read-in-2020 list. I am hoping to get to it this month. Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!
ReplyDeleteThe Color Purple is definitely one I need to read sooner rather than later!
DeleteThank you for stopping by! :)
I haven't read any of these, but I did watch the film adaptation of Fried Green Tomatoes and I loved it! Great list and thanks for stopping by my TTT! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachel. I like to read the book first :)
DeleteThe Color Purple looks so good! You wrote a great list!

Thank you, Anna. I agree about The Color Purple. I plan on reading it as soon as I'm caught up on my NetGalley list.
DeleteHi there Leslie! Your blog is beautiful. I haven't read the priority of the Orange tree yet, but I think it's one of the most beautiful covers. I was also thinking of the Scarlet Pimpernel. I loved that book as a child! (now I just gave my age away....)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog earlier. Much appreciated.
Thank you, Elza! The cover - and the title - is what drew me to The Priory of the Orange Tree as well. Looking forward to The Scarlet Pimpernel, as well. I have heard that it is an engaging classic. :).
DeleteI've heard such great things about The Priory of the Orange Tree but that is one looong book! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, it is quite the commitment!
DeleteI just recently finished The Color Purple for a readathon. It's a must-read! Fried Green Tomatoes is on my TBR, too. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you loved it!! I am so looking forward to reading it! Thank you, Dedra!
DeleteOhhh, hello -- there are some books here I haven't read before. What a lovely introduction to these authors!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Verushka! I hope you'll find a couple in this post to read :)
DeleteI should have including 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' as I LOVE the story, but since I've never read the book I'm not sure that I own the book (and I picked from my shelf). Love that you spotlight the colors in the titles, too. :) Thanks for visiting Finding Wonderland.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it either, but it's high on my TBR list. I have heard amazing things about it! How fun that you did books that you own - do you have rainbow bookshelves? #goals
DeleteI think i have only heard of one of these books. Great choices.
