GoodReads Description: Grace Turner was one movie away from Hollywood’s A-List. So no one understood why, at the height of her career and on the eve of her first Golden Globe nomination, she disappeared.

Now, one year later, Grace is back in Los Angeles and determined to reclaim her life on her own terms.

So when Grace is asked to present a lifetime achievement award to director Able Yorke—the man who controlled her every move for eight years—she knows there’s only one way she’ll be free of the secret that’s already taken so much from her.

The Comeback is a powerful and provocative story of justice in the #MeToo era—a true page-turner about a young woman finding the strength and power of her voice.

I'm way late in reviewing this book.  Like unforgivably late. Like GoodReads has probably put me on some kind of blacklist to never win a Giveaway again!

Anyways, I liked this book so much more than I thought I was going to !  Hollywood stories really aren't my thing.

I vaguely remember winning this book and thinking, why did I even enter this one? I hate whiny famous people (for the most part). However, this really was a great book about an amazing journey of redemption.  The main character starts out as this non-functioning member of society, extremely damaged from the mind games and sexual abuse she has endured in Hollywood and the entertainment industry.  And then we get to watch her recover and it is a beautiful journey.

It definitely had Daisy Jones & the Six vibes or The Villa, which I also loved - but it wasn't set in the wild 60's and 70's, just the drug use I guess?? Anyways, it was a wild ride with a satisfying ending.  And it is definitely fitting for our times and the #MeToo movement.
